Normal Vaginal Delivery vs Caesarean Section
Decision for the mode of delivery is decided on various factors like size and presentation of the baby, size and shape of maternal pelvis, presence of any associated medical complications. Sometimes an emergency Caesarean section may be required during labor due to some unforeseen situations like fetal distress, non descent of fetal head or obstructed labor.
At ‘Janani Clinic’ every patient is encouraged for a normal vaginal delivery. Every antenatal visit consists of thorough counselling of the patient regarding labor. Patients are encouraged to follow an active lifestyle, attend antenatal classes and discuss any birth plans with Dr Radha Rao

Most of the deliveries especially those with high risk are conducted at tertiary level, labor unit at Cloudnine Hospital with an unmatched infrastructure and technology and standardized international labor protocols. She has handled successfully all type of complicated and critical obstetric cases till date from South Bangalore and surrounding areas. She is constantly striving to develop patient strategies and labor protocols to increase normal delivery rates and decrease caesarean / instrumental deliveries. She routinely encourages and does a lot of VBACs ( vaginal birth after caesarean section). She routinely employs and encourages labor analgesia methods for easy and comfortable birthing experience.
